A now page — a snapshot of what I’m actually doing. Last updated July 2026.
Music. I just released the pre-release version of Identity — a six-song album I’ve been building for the past year. The process of finishing it turned out to be as meaningful as the music itself. There are things I could say in a song that I couldn’t say any other way, and I wanted those things said before I talked myself out of it.
Self identity and recovery. The album wasn’t only a creative project. It was part of something harder: trying to reconnect with parts of myself that got buried under years of being the person who handles things. The engineering metaphors in the songs are real — I genuinely think in systems — but they’re also a way of describing something that has very little to do with infrastructure.
I’m still in that process. Making it visible felt like the honest next step.
Deeper observability with AI. I’m spending serious time on what it actually means to move from “dashboards you stare at” to “systems that surface meaning.” Not just smarter alerting — genuinely different signal. AI changes what’s possible in this space and I’m working through what a real AI-native observability strategy looks like inside a large engineering organization.
Older Star Wars fiction — the Legends / Expanded Universe material, the kind that existed before the timeline reset. Working through it slowly. It scratches a very specific itch that nothing else does quite the same way.
